Bio:            

Greg Gutierrez is a writer, teacher and artist. He did his undergraduate and graduate work at San Diego State University and his collection of short stories, Zen and the Art of Surfing is in its ninth printing. The San Diego Union Tribune has called his writing, “Mythological.” After 9/11 he went to NYC to write a piece on fallen surfer/firefighter Steve “Bells” Belson and was nearly arrested investigating the story. His short stories, articles, and essays have garnered awards and his work has appeared in: The Surfer’s Journal, Surfer Magazine, Surfing Magazine, Western Outdoor News, The San Diego Union Tribune, Ocean Magazine, Salt Magazine, The San Diego Reader, MorSurf Magazine, Carlsbad Magazine and Art News. Greg is represented by Victoria Sanders and Associates.
